Robert Forster has passed away.
I had the privilege of meeting and having a lengthy conversation with him when he was in Santa Rosa promoting his appearance at a screening of “Jackie Brown”. I had just watched his first film – “Reflections in a Golden Eye” with Marlon Brando – and he was delighted to talk about it. When he heard I was KSRO’s “theatre guy” he asked a lot about local theatre and spoke of his experiences on the stage. He was a true gentleman who loved acting and sincerely appreciated the “second” career he was able to have courtesy of Tarantino.
He should have won the Oscar for Max Cherry.
