Episode 2.7 – August 18, 2014 – an interview with actress Anzu Lawson

We apologize if the title of this episode is a little misleading.  Yes, we will be talking with actress, singer and playwright Anzu Lawson about her new musical “Rock and Roll’s Greatest Lovers,” but we will ALSO be talking with two of her cast-mates from the show Nell Teare and Erin Muir.  These lovely ladies will be joining us to talk about their brand new original musical which celebrates often misunderstood love story between John Lennon and Yoko Ono.  It is a Romeo and Juliet story about two rebels who defined an era.  The musical, which Lawson created because of her uncanny resemblance to Ono has just finished up its premiere run at the Lillian Theater in Hollywood, CA as part of Hollywood Fringe Festival.   After self funding the initial production Anzu has moved on to the next step, trying to raise the capital needed to relaunch this project as both a movie and a broadway show.  We will be talking with our guests about the challenges of producing the show, running a indiegogo campaign and ultimately where they hope this show is headed.   We might even get a few live numbers our of them if we are lucky.
