R.I.P. – Jay Robinson (1930 – 2013)

We’ve lost another great character actor. Jay Robinson hit the silver screen running as the larger than life Emperor Caligula in 1953’s “The Robe” and its 1954 sequel “Demetrius and the Gladiator”. How’s that for a start? A great start, but that was about it for him in feature films. He did, however, have a long career in television, appearing in everything from the original “Star Trek” and “Bewitched”, to a stint on Saturday Morning TV as Sid and Marty Kroft’s “Dr.Shrinker” (which I loved as a kid.)

A dependable actor with a great, distinctive voice…
